[What a goooooood. Once he figures out Charles likes head pats, he's gonna give him a bunch.

For now, he lets his eyes drift closed, enjoying the simple contact and his lover's subtle scent. He never could quite pin down what Charles smelled like... Aside from mostly cleaning products.]

Oh? Well, I'm glad you think so. It's been very nice, being so close to you.

Mmm.

[Which isn't saying much, but the low hum is one of deep, soft satisfaction and agreement. It is nice, isn't it? No regrets here, at least at this moment in time because let's be real, Charles is a mess and is prone to spiraling down into dark and twisty places.

And yes, it's mostly cleaning products, but underneath that it's whatever scent of soap they got, vaguely metallic, rain, and a wet umbrella. He's an odd boy with an odd scent, but at least they're spared "dog" from that list for now.

He's content with this, soaking in the light contact and the silence. He doesn't wasn't to ruin it by saying something, even if I love you is floating around his skull in happy, drifting circles.]

[Very, very nice. This boy's never really had the chance to have such regular contact with someone before. The change of pace is strange, occasionally conflicting with his desire for travel, but overall far too enjoyable.

Silence is fine. Even the ever talkative Fran can appreciate it. The slow ticking of time, lost in the moment and committing Charles' comforting scent to memory. With his senses sharpened even more than before there have been a few new dimensions added to things he already enjoys.

Slow soft breaths, his chest rising and falling in time with the other's as they both calmed down, listening to his heartbeat and getting lost in that rhythm.]
