☆ First Impressions

☾ VISUAL:
Age; 19-21? At least appearance wise

Gender; Genderfluid, they/them (but like, not gonna bite your ear off)

Height; 5' 0" This is far less short in ancient times. Look they'll fight you, buddy.

Markings: Crescent Moon tattoo along one side of their waist, not a tattoo, but easily mistaken for one.

A creature of nature, Fran, as well as most nymphs from this world, are slim and fragile in appearance, their connection to the land is what gives them their strength. Fran appears gentle, even innocent if such a term could be used to describe looks, but dark amber slitted eyes reflect the wisdom of far more years than their body shows. Aside from that, a pair of curled horns, grayish green to match their hair, sprout from their head, adding a bestial twist to their appearance that's complemented by sharp teeth hiding behind seductive lips. Otherwise, Fran's mostly indistinguishable from a human, their nails are slightly darker, sharp enough to scratch wood, and they generally travel barefoot with an unnaturally smooth, sing-song gait.

☾ FASHION: Their preference is generally simple, well-fit clothes, often spun wool or cotton fabrics made in neat decorative styles. The amount of skin covered tends to depend on the climate, ranging from a more primal large degree of exposed skin during the summer periods, or well covered and lightly furred for the winter months (see their reference image for an example). Needless to say, their sense of style is either non-existent or just extremely old fashioned.

☾ DEMEANOUR: Calm, quiet, and careful are the three best ways to describe Fran upon meeting them, though this is true of most folks where they come from, a dangerous land with plenty to be careful about. When less on-edge, the nymph is whimsical, deadly curious, and playful. Fran carries themself with the sing-song fancy of a creature entwined with the world they live in, there's no room for haughtiness or self-imposed importance in their mind. Those interacting with them might get the impression of something primal, their entire personality more simple and animistic than most humans. This also means they tend to come across as naive or innocent, lacking the background of intrigue and academics humans so enjoy getting into. Following with their connection to the moon, Fran is inherently reflective and tends to slowly match the demeanor of whoever they’re interacting with. If you’re excited, they’ll be excited! If you’re upset, they’ll probably get a bit upset too!

☾ SOUND: Their voice is light, with a rhythmic lilt to it that reflects it's more mystical heritage and lying on the upper range for most adult males, sounding rather androgynous. Their native tongue is most similar to Indigenous Americans, such as the Zuni peoples, though with a greater tonal shift throughout.

☾ SCENT: For those who have had the pleasure of traveling through a more open pine forest, with mixtures of tough herbs, you'll know exactly what scent lingers on them, and what they prefer to smell like. My words can't do it justice, but the smell is crisp, and clean, with a sharp greenery to it that reflects the pointed needles on every tree; mixed in with the deep earthy scent of the dirt around, kept clear of grass and most other plants by a layer of fallen brown pine needles. If they ever have the chance to use perfumes or the like, that is what they'd choose.

☾ MENTAL INFORMATION: In their land of origin, the nature of their race grants them some protection from mental attacks and magic, their consciousness (linked and tied to the world) offers them a sort-of 'grounding' sensibility, though this also means that cutting off that sense is a good way to make them worry.

☾ MAGICAL INFORMATION: Counting themselves among the creatures who are linked to elemental magic, Fran's connection is to the moon, of all things. They draw the most strength from strong moon phases and it helps influence the magic they have access to and that passively work around their body. This includes general healing magic, sustenance in times of hunger, powering their ability to connect to animals, and their more offensive magic. This much is fairly obvious from their 'aura', as best it can be described, though this may alter depending on the setting.
